Fishywishywoshywashy
I would love to be a fish for a day. I mean I already have a perpetual add that a fish has. I love to swim. Its the one animal i make it a point not to eat. Fish tastes and smell bad. back on topic, imagin swimming in the open ocean. It must be amazing to feel almost weightless all the time. The ability to go up down side to side. The lack of effort that it takes it what amazes me the most. They look like thy are not even trying to swim. I want that lack of effort in my life. I'm not lazy or anything but i can honestly say that do not like to move that much.
Animal
What is your favorite animal? Random question, I know. maybe you do not have a favorite animal. if that is the case then what is an animal that you have a decent affinity towards? Mine is a bat. It has been ever since I was a little kid. They are mamals and yet they fly. They can not see that well but they can fly flawlessly at night. Plus they have a spooky aspect. Ever look at a bat? They are ugly creatures. Especially vampire bats. And yet they are still my favorite animal. I think looking at a persons favorite animals can help explain what kind of person he/she are. I love Halloween and bats are a big part of that scene. I am a nocturnal creature. I live for the night. There may not be many similarities but its the few that count.
National Ego
We all know our national symbols. We have our flag. We have claimed the bald eagle as our bird. We have even chosen the liberty bell as one. These are all testaments to our national ego. The U.S.A. has to be on of the most fat headed countries, and every other contry knows it. We inforce our rules and ideas, we make countries have the same government. We do not know when to stop. It is to the point where we made almost every country hate us or envy us. Why must we force our beliefs on other countries? What I think the United States of America should do is publicly apoligize to every country be like "My bad, we had good intentions but things got out of hand. We are going to leave now, but if u need any help just give us a holler!" maybe in different words. It may seem like a cowards way out but we need to give up on our national ego and worry more about our national image.
Totem poles
Totem poles are some of the earliest art forms done by Native Americans. they are monuments to the creativity. They are detailed works that took time and concentration on a huge scale. They must have taken for ever to create. The story behind them are just as creative. they tell stories, they show liniage and they make down notable events. And then there are things called shame poles that are meant to degrade individuals or groups. There will always be stories that we never hear. The imaginative events that happened are always going to be lost in history. We have little reminders of what has happened. Totems will always be my favorite. I even have a homemade one at my house. i wonder what historians in the future will think my life was by looking at my homemade artwork.

Video game withdraws
Imagin staring into a box for hours and hours upon end. just sitting there. the box moves about the same as you do.... none at all. sounds pretty boring doesn't it. Well that is what it looks like through x-ray vision when you are playing a video game Video games are comparable to drugs. They warp the mind. They create zombies out of everyday ordinary teenagers. they make people do irrational things like pay real money for fake houses. Video games make you feel good. They make you feel like you have achieved somehting. they kill time. but with every drug, there is a withdraw. For example: a high school senior just spent major money on his new system with his little brother. he loves it, he plays any and every game he finds. he loves 2 player games because he can play with his brother. well this same senior graduates from high school. he goes off to college BUT his little brother throws a temper tantrum when he tries and takes the system. So gameless the student goes off to college. And then there are term papers, quizes, and tests. No outlet. the student starts to freak out more about not having anything to play than actually worrying about the important stuff.
that is the withdraw kicking in. The urge to kill mythical beast and steal cars. gets the best of him. The kid goes on a rampage (but only makes it to the curb before getting beat up). This drug has affected this kid to the point of almost no return.
I say all this and then thats when i realize that most of the people around me im my major are afflected by this drug. It may not be a leathel drug but it is a problem that has so much of a following that in my major videogames are all I hear about.

My circle
Life is hard thing to get through sometimes. New problems present themselves everyday. There is always a new tribulation that is jumps in and makes a mess of everything. The main thing that gets me past every quandary is my group of friends. My friends are so tight that they even formed a name for our collective friendship. It is called "The group." It is so weird to me that any of my friends can say "the group" and i know the select people that they are referring. Everyone is friends with everyone. We are so close that when we hang out, all of us hang out. We role deep. I have always thought of me as the starter of the group. It all started with my Halloween party my sophomore year. I did not know that many people in the beginning of high school, i barely remember my freshman year because it was so uneventful. but when i had this Halloween party things changed. I invited some people i was fairly acquainted with. little did i know that people I invited would be my best friends. What is even more interesting is that my friends kept bringing more of their friends. My circle kept expanding and evolving to the point where i can't call any my best friend in fear of insulting someone who thinks that they might be a better friend. but really they are all my best friends. they all look out for me and I look out for them. When ever I'm done they always make me laugh. When ever they are down, I end up doing something really clumsy and make they laugh. My circle has brought me here and I can't wait to see where it is headed.

MMMM.........
Ahhh yes food, my second favorite pastime. It is funny that some one as skinny as me loves food as much as i do. in case you don't know me i am six foot tall and 140lbs. I like to think I am a fat person trapped in a skinny body. They say it will catch up to me but i think i am too fast for that.
Food, every has got to eat it. everybody has their favorite. there is just so much diversity in it, every culture has its own type of food. But what this blog is really about is how food has changed over the course of time. What was the food like back 200 years ago? 1000? 10,000? I'm sure food as evolved just as much as man has. what i wonder is what did a mammoth taste like? the giant animals, hell I want to know what a dinosaur tastes like. what did the spices taste like back then? did lettuce always taste like the lettuce today? these are all questions that can never be answered. i can't ever take what a historian says strait because he knows just as much as i know what that tasted like. NOTHING at all. I believe the air quality has help change everything in the world from plants to animals. if only i could go back. maybe then i would be fat

Football season
Where do you see grown men smash into each other? When do you see beautiful women cheering and danceing? Where do you grown adults act like fools? Yes your right, a football game. The sport that brings America together, but yet sets almost each state against each other. It is amazing how football affects our everyday activities. When the season is here, you know its football season. Everything has a logo of some team or some player. Football is the golden goose for advertisers. Every year a new ad campain is set all leading up to teh superbowl. But why? The simple answer is that America loves football. But it goes deeper than that. America loves every aspect of football. Or at least they are highly opinionated about every aspect. The players, the coaches, the refs, the officials, everything. Advertisors play on the emotions of the people who watch and live football.

Happy Halloween
I know i already have blogged about halloween, but once again it is my favorite holliday out of any that there could might or might not be. There are so many stories about why halloween is here, but why has it stayed? i believe that it brings out the inner children is all of us. It alows us to bring out our fantasies. but why do we need to bring out our inner selfs? well that is the easy question. we need a release of reality we need the funky and strang be real maybe just for one day

Tattoos
On stupid.com i found Fake tattoo sleeves and i really have to say I am repulsed. I am a person with tattoos and i love them, i want my entire body covered, well not entire but everywhere that can be covered by a longsleeve shirt and pants. and the idea of fake sleeves just gets me. It seems to me that only a real poser would take this seriously. Tattoos are a way of life and they just seem to get more and more downgraded by fake tattoos and stars and hearts that we see everyone have. it is my firm belief that all tattoos should be original. That is art that is put on the body. it is meant to a beautiful expression of the soul. Fake sleeves only add to the downfall. It is a slippery slope but i think people should rethink their ideas about tattoos and fall out of the mainstream. AND NO MORE STARS AND HEARTS

The Fall
Fall is natures artwork. everytime this time of year comes by, fall expresses itself with virbrant reds and oranges to dull browns. beutiful colors that just make you look at them. They come almost instatnly, but just as fast as these colors come they are gone. Fall is like a festival of fire works that barely last a whole season.
Halloween
Halloween is here, the inner freaks come out. Halloween is the only time of the year that your front yard looks like bloody murder and it is just fine. where anyone can dress up like a ghoul or goblin and we get candy as treats. Halloween is truly a magical time of the year. you can see what really horrifies people just by lookin at their costumes.
Clothes
Clothes are the means for all non verbal expression. you can tell how a person feels about almost anything just by the stuff they wear. A hippi wears tie dye while a gangster wheres solid colors and baggy clothes. clothing is a way to express our uniqueness. what that inevability does is help us judge people, whether we want to or not. You see some one not dressed right, sometimes (or more) you make a immediate judgement of them and either trust them or not. Clothes are unatural, its not like there are shirt trees in your back yard, and yet we have made them a nessarry part of our every day.

City
Cities have the most peculiar layout. I heard from the grapevine somewhere along the way that the design of a city was meant for people to have cars. The more i think about it the more i think its true. Unless you live right next to where you need to go, you need a car or some form of automotive transportation. There are defined sections of the cite that are meant for living, and then far away there are parts of the city meant for shopping. even more, they way of the convenient store is going out of style. It is either go big (SUPER K) or nothing at all. The advancement of these super shopping centers creates an ever present need to have a car.
Around indianapolis, bike lanes are popping up everywhere, but that is only so much faster than walking, and at a certain point it is ineffective (at least for the lazy people who make up the majority of this nation). I want to design a city one day, almost like sim city, and i want to accommodate the non driver. I almost want to force people not to drive in this city. instead of monopolizing super-centers i want their to be local grocers every couple of miles for the average walker to get to.
Friendship
Lets talk about the dynamic design of todays friendships. And yes friendships do have a design aspect to them. There are 2 types of friendships; same gender and opposite gender. Those 2 set the dynamics of all friendships. For example a guy hanging out with another guy, a same sex friendship, can be the easiest friendship to have by design. inherently 2 guys have a lot more in common than a guy and i girl. 2 guys don't even have to have the same interests. But when it comes to a guy and a girl, thats when a design flaw in our nature becomes prominent. It is in our nature to reproduce. By putting a guy and a girl together, they must overcome their nature just to become friends. in a sense, We have broken out of our natural design to have friends that are opposite sex.

Twisted house
Check this house out. http://www.crazyjunkyard.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/twisted-house.jpg. This house is the definition of ironic. For those who don't check the link out. this house is a simple house in design but with a big twist, literally. this house is curved, just like an upside down "U." its a house no one can deny that. but its we all get it is not a functional house. so i guess the reasoning behind is was completely artistic. what this house shows is an extreme form of design over functionality.

the beauty in nature
Nature is this awe inspiring thing that has influenced human nature since the beginning. This labor day weekend i went to a lake, and for about a good half hour i stared at the trees lining the lake. they were beautiful. the way the beach met the water. even how the clouds seemed like the came from behind the trees. I can see how humans from the past saw and thought that someone had to had designed theses. they are way to magnificent for it to all be random. And in turn humans have been trying to recreate these objects, in every detail. Human have been trying to go with the most organic ideas that they can.
The Snuggie
The snuggie in theory is a great design. The sunggie is basically a backwards robe, this thing is supposed to keep a person warm with out the inconvenience of a cover which may fall off and allow the cold to touch your bones. but the problem comes up is when would someone wear something as ridiculous as a snuggie. for the purpose it serves the idea doesn't need to be fulfilled when the world is full of things like blankets and jackets we can wear backwards

The beginning of this summer I decided to write a movie. what started was a bit of random inspiration tied in with nagging determination. If you don't know what nagging determination is, it is a phrase that i have come up with for something that just bothers you until you do it. and i have come up with this movie. Now i have this crazy jumble of animals and humans all trying to do these different things.
All this has lead me to believe that focus is ultimatly the most important thing when it comes any type of project. Even the most disorganized peice of art has had hours of focus cramed into it.
